Description
Use this round hive top feeder to keep your bees fed when nectar supplies are scarce during the warmer months, and to feed dry sugar/pollen as food in the winter months. It fits in a shallow 8- or 10-frame super and holds approximately 1/2 gallon of syrup. The clear cap reduces the risk of your bees drowning. Measures 10-1/2 in. diameter and 2 in. deep.

These feeders are awesome, esp for winter feeding without disrupting the hives!

I bought one of these last year to try it out. Didn’t get to use it till this past week. I am happy to say seems to be working great, no dead bees in the syrup and did not have to disturb any bees. Also no ants were found. I wondering if someone will come up with a size for nucs?

I love mine so much that I bought more. To answer a question from an earlier reviewer, they work fine for nucs, but you’ll need a wider feeder box. Cut some plywood the size of an 8/10 frame box, use an 8/10 frame shallow on top of it and set the feeder down inside. Well, and another piece of plywood on top.
